What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

With the elections, I mean. I couldn't get a California State ballot here, but I dropped off a "Federal Ballot" at the "castle" a few days ago. Keep your fingers crossed for a Republican smack-down!

That picture looks like it could be from our house. Kiwis don't believe in electricity. We have exactly one outlet in most bedrooms and none in the bathroom. The result is many plugs into multiple powerstrips connected into the same outlet.

BTW, I did not register in time for a mail in ballot and G's last ballot arrived after the election was over!

Sad but true: our electoral system is as lame as your electrical outlet arrangement. In California, we voted against raising taxes now to pay for, say, our highway system. But we passed bond issues to assure that our grandchildren will pay tomorrow for the roads we drive today. Don't even ask about education. Californians voted for cheaper gas today in exchange for global warming tomorrow. As you observed - what could go wrong?
